Christmas In Action of Oakland County, Inc. is excited with the
possibilities of serving our citizens on a community basis. Our
goal is to serve with other communities who are able to operate
as separate municipal affiliates under an umbrella organization.
This allows us to reach more low-income, handicapped, and elderly
homeowners, through the donations of many volunteers.
The last Saturday in April thousands of volunteers provide these
vital FREE home repairs. Volunteers (just like you), equipped with
donations (from area businesses, just like yours) spend the day
installing new roofs, furnaces, hot water heaters, build handicapped
ramps, complete endless plumbing repairs, and upgrade faulty electrical
services to allow these seniors to live in their homes safely.
If you, or your civic group, youth group, school, or business
would like to get involved, please call us at (248) 618-7433. Look
through our site and experience the difference that you can make!
- In America, you are not required to offer food to the hungry.
Or shelter to the homeless.
- There is no ordinance forcing you to visit the lonely, or comfort
the infirm.
- Nowhere in the Constitution does it say you have to provide
clothing for the poor.
- In fact, one of the nicest things about living here in America
is that you really don't have to do anything for anybody.
- To the thousands of you who volunteered time and money last
year, thanks for all you've given.
- Imagine what more could be done!
